Alma Ben-Zeev
Alma Ben Zeev is a director, producer, and actress from Tel Aviv, Israel. Alma started her career as an actress in the popular television series Rosh Gadol, which earned her the Israeli Academy Award.
In recent years, Alma transitioned behind the camera, focusing on directing and producing documentary films. Her debut film, "Nine Moons" (2021), was screened at international festivals and won the Excellent Audiovisual Creative Program award at the 2022 Asian College Students Short Video Exchange Exhibition.
Her second documentary, "Mira"—a personal portrait of her grandmother, Mira Perlov—won the student pitching competition at "Doc-aviv" (2022), received a production grant from the Rabinovich Foundation, and premiered at the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival (2023), where it received special jury recognition. "Mira" also won First Prize for Best Short Film at the EPOS Art Film Festival, held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
Alma is a graduate of the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio (2015) and the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University (2024).
